This page contains a Table of Contents for links to all of our free downloadable demos arranged alphabetically. Manuals are in PDF format. Although most of our programs are available in Mac versions (check the Product Information pages to find out which ones), the demo links below are for Windows only.
You can follow these installation steps for any of the demos below. Even if you usually use a different browser, it is recommended that you use Microsoft's Internet Explorer to install these demos. You may wish to preview and print these instructions for reference during installation.
Go to the Table of Contents below, find the link for the program you wish to install and click on the link. Focus will move to the link for installing that program. Click on the link: "Click here to install the program. File name: setup ...". Note that we'll use ellipsis (...) where a program's specific abbreviation would normally occur, i.e., setuprocsg10.exe.
Internet Explorer will present a notice (typically at the bottom of the screen) asking whether you wish to Run, Save or Cancel. Choose Run.
Depending our your Windows version, Internet Explorer version, security settings and configuration, you may receive the following notice: "The publisher of ... couldn't be verified. Are you sure you want to run the program?" Click on the Run button. Once the file is downloaded, note that Windows 8, Windows 10, and certain security software may not give you the option to Run. In some instances you may receive this message: "setup... is not a commonly downloaded program and could harm your computer" or "Windows protected your PC .... " In this case you'll need to click on Actions before you see a link labeled Run anyway. Click Run anyway. In a third scenario, you still may not get the Run option. In those instances you'll typically see a More info link (which is easy to miss, so look over any dialogs carefully). Click on the More info link and you'll be presented with the option to Run anyway.
The Setup progress meter will appear briefly until the Welcome dialog displays. Click the Next button to begin installation. Click Cancel if you want to abort installation.
The Puritas Springs Software Licensing Agreement appears in the next dialog. Click the "I accept … " radio button to accept the terms of the license and click the Next button to continue. If you do not agree to the Licensing Agreement, installation will not continue.
Verify/enter your customer identification information and click Next. If you don't know your user name or organization, leave the fields blank.
Verify the destination folder. Do not change the path from the default: C:\Program Files\Puritas\ ... which is the default. Click Next to continue. Note that in the case of 64-bit computers the path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Puritas\ ... . Whatever it is, don't change it or the demo will not work.
Verify the database folder. By “database” the InstallShield Wizard is referring to the place where you store your client files. C:\Puritas\...\Files is the default. Do not change this setting. Click Next to continue.
The Setup Type dialog may appear next. If it does, leave the setup type set to Typical.
Installation begins when you click Install in the Ready to Install the Program dialog. A progress meter will keep you informed as the program is installed.
When the installation process is complete, the InstallShield Wizard Completed dialog appears. Click on the Finish button. Usually there is a checkbox if you wish to immediately run the program. Otherwise, there should be an icon on your desktop to let you run the demo at a later convenient time.
CAVEAT: Note that these are look and feel demos that were designed for persons genuinely interested in purchasing a particular program. Their purpose is to demonstrate all the features and functions of a program and to allow users to give a program a test drive. One caveat is that it they are not updated and may not provide correct answers. They are intended to give serious potential purchasers a closer look, and at the same time to deter one-time users or non-professionals who have no intention of buying a program and just want to perform a calculation for personal reasons. Therefore, these demos are not to be relied upon. However, information you enter in a demo program can be saved so that if you purchase the actual program, you can load your saved file and continue your work in it. Demos will run for a trial period of 30 days starting at the date of installation. If you have any questions, please give us a call.
